Campus Emergency Update: June 28, 2021

by Public Relations | June 28, 2021

At approximately 7:35 p.m. this evening, a bomb threat was received with respect to the Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica. Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) were contacted and responded to campus to investigate the threat. The Basilica, Parish Center, Aurelius Hall and Wimmer Hall on campus were all evacuated and campus was closed as PSP investigated the threat.

At 9:50 p.m., PSP determined that there was no credible threat to the Basilica or campus. The evacuation order was then lifted and campus was reopened. We are grateful to PSP for its efficient response, thorough investigation and effort to keep our campus safe.
