Fortnight Events to Welcome Students for Spring Semester

LATROBE, PA – Offices and departments from across the Saint Vincent College community will team up to provide students with a unique and engaging series of programming as they embark on the spring 2021 semester.

From Sunday, Feb. 7, through Saturday, Feb. 20, SVC Fortnight will feature events sponsored by the offices of Student Affairs, Campus Ministry, Residence Life, Dining Services, Campus and Multicultural Life and Service Learning and Outreach, as well as the Student Government Association, Wellness Center, Commuter Center, the Career and Professional Development Center, Uniting All People Club, the Verostko Center for the Arts and the Foster and Muriel McCarl Coverlet Gallery, designed to safely welcome students back for the new semester.

“I would like to commend our entire campus community for its hard work in teaming up to create this experience for our students,” said Saint Vincent College president Father Paul R. Taylor, O.S.B. “SVC Fortnight will provide a multitude of opportunities for students to engage both socially and spiritually, which is vital for their overall wellness. We are eager to welcome them back for the upcoming semester and look forward to their presence restoring the vibrancy of our campus.”

Events are planned daily over the two-week period and will be staged both in-person and virtually and all programming will strictly adhere to the health and safety guidelines for on-campus operations developed by the Forward Together Advisory Committee.
