LATROBE, PA — Saint Vincent College held its 176th spring commencement on Saturday, May 7, in the Robert S. Carey Student Center gymnasium, with 310 students awarded bachelor's or master's degrees.
Mr. Peter N. Stephans, chairman and chief operating officer of Trigon Holding Inc., was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters and delivered the commencement address.
The platform participants included, from left to right: Dr. Jeff Mallory, Saint Vincent College executive vice president and chief operating officer; Mr. Arthur J. Rooney II, chairman of the Saint Vincent College Board of Directors; Dr. Timothy Kelly, professor of history; Mr. Peter N. Stephans; Father Paul R. Taylor, O.S.B., Saint Vincent College president; and Rt. Rev. Martin de Porres Bartel, O.S.B., Saint Vincent archabbot and chancellor.
