DANBURY, CT – The Saint Vincent College women’s volleyball team has been selected to compete in the 2022 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championship Tournament, scheduled Nov. 12-13 at New Jersey City University.
The Bearcats, seeded No. 7, will take on Cabrini University at 2 p.m. Saturday in the quarterfinals of the single-elimination tournament. The winner will face the winner of the quarterfinal match between No. 3 Grove City College and No. 6 Penn State-Behrend on Sunday at noon, while the championship match is scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m.
Saint Vincent, which closed the regular season with a 17-7 overall record, will be making its first appearance in the ECAC postseason since 2011, when it advanced to the championship match. This will be Saint Vincent’s sixth ECAC berth all-time, as the Bearcats won the ECAC Division II title in both 2006 and 2007.
Cabrini University, located in Radnor, Pennsylvania, enters the ECAC tourney with a 20-12 overall record. The Cavaliers were defeated in Saturday’s Atlantic East Conference championship match by Marymount University.
