The Saint Vincent College community is mourning the loss of Dr. Richard Wissolik, Professor Emeritus of English. An outstanding teacher, passionate scholar, and both a stimulating and supporting colleague, Dr. Wissolik enlightened students, colleagues and those he met on the topics of his many diverse interests. Whether discussing the Bayeux tapestry, the lyrics of Dylan, African literature and culture, local oral history, or the human experience of war, Dr. Wissolik could simultaneously deeply educate, emotionally move, and entertain. He will be remembered for his many contributions and devotion to his students, his colleagues, and Saint Vincent.
